Free Malfoid AI Generator: No Sign-Up? No Watermark?
What is free on Malfoid Video, whether you need an account, whether images carry a watermark, and the cheapest way to make two or three Malfoid images.
Last updated: 2026-10-16
Here is the short version. On Malfoid Video, a new account gets 4 free credits, which is exactly one 1K Malfoid image. You need to sign in, but you do not need a credit card, and the image downloads without a watermark. After that first image, generating more means buying a credit pack. Nothing here is "unlimited free", and we would rather say that up front than hide it behind a sign-up wall.
The rest of this page explains exactly what you get, how it compares with paying, the cheapest route if you only want two or three pictures, and how to run a Malfoid workflow on your own computer for free if you have the hardware.
What's free here
- One image on us. New accounts receive 4 credits. A 1K image costs 4 credits, so the gift covers one full generation in any style: anime, manga, chibi or painterly, in portrait, avatar, vertical or 4-panel comic layout.
- No watermark. Images download as clean files with no logo or text stamped on them. Videos made with credits are the same.
- Failed runs are free. If a generation fails, its credits go back to your balance automatically, so a technical error never costs you your free image.
- Everything else on the site. The prompt library, the fix guide, the video wall and the explainer pages are free to read and use with any tool.
To keep the gift fair, it goes to the first account created from a network. Making a second account from the same connection does not add another free image.
Free vs. paid
| Free credits | Credit pack | |
|---|---|---|
| Images | One 1K image | As many as your credits cover, from $0.27 each |
| Videos | Not enough credits for a clip | 5–10 s 9:16 clips, from $1.00 per 10 seconds |
| Watermark | None | None |
| Sign-in | Required | Required |
| Credit card | Not needed | Needed to buy a pack |
| Expiry | See your account | Pack credits never expire |
Do you need to sign up?
Yes. Generating anything requires an account, for two practical reasons. First, every image costs us real money at the model provider, and an account is how credits are tracked and refunds are returned when a run fails. Second, the tools only accept reference images that you uploaded or generated yourself, which needs an account to check. Browsing, reading and copying prompts do not require an account.
Creating an account takes about a minute. We do not ask for a card to claim the free credits, and we only use your email to run the account.
Is there a watermark?
No. Neither the free image nor paid images and videos carry a watermark. You are free to post them, but please label them as AI-made fan art when you share them; that is what most of the Malfoid community expects, and some platforms require AI labels on generated media.
What the free credits can't do
The free credits are enough for one image and nothing more, so a few things need a pack:
- Videos. The cheapest 10-second clip costs 15 credits, more than the free 4.
- A 2K image. At 5 credits, a 2K image costs one credit more than the gift.
- A second try. If you want to compare two styles, the second image needs paid credits. Use the prompt library to pick a style before you spend the free run.
What they do cover is a complete image with every option open, including the selfie mode and the 4-panel comic layout, so you can judge the real output before you pay anything.
If you only need 2–3 images
This is the most common situation, and the cheapest route is simple:
- Use the free credits for the first image. Try a prompt first so the one free run counts.
- If you like the result, press Use as reference to make the next image of the same character instead of starting over.
- Buy the smallest pack, Starter ($9.90 for 120 credits). That covers about 30 more 1K images, far more than two or three, and the credits do not expire, so the rest stay available for later or for a short video.
There is no subscription to cancel afterwards. See pricing for the per-image cost in every pack.
Run it locally
If you have a capable graphics card and some patience, you can make Malfoid images on your own computer for free. We do not host or distribute any model files; the links below go to the original sources.
- PixAI. Since October 1, 2026, a community Malfoid LoRA has been available on PixAI, a site for anime-style generation. A LoRA is a small add-on that teaches a base model one character. Search the site for "Malfoid" and read the creator's notes for the trigger words and recommended settings. PixAI also has its own free daily allowance if you would rather not install anything.
- A general Stable Diffusion setup. Install a local interface such as ComfyUI or the AUTOMATIC1111 web UI, add an anime-focused base model, then load the Malfoid LoRA if its licence allows local use. Use the signature traits from our prompt library: platinum-blonde hair, pale grey-green eyes, a smug smirk and the green-and-silver uniform.
- Video is harder. Local image-to-video needs much more graphics memory and time. For 9:16 clips most people use a hosted tool, including ours.
Check the licence of every model and LoRA you download. Some allow only personal use, some forbid commercial use, and a few forbid redistribution of outputs.
Free alternatives and their trade-offs
You have other options, and it is worth knowing the trade-offs before choosing:
- General chatbots with image tools. Many assistants can draw a female Draco on a free plan with a daily limit. They are convenient, but they rarely keep the same face across images, they may refuse franchise-related requests, and free tiers often reduce resolution at busy times.
- Anime image sites with daily credits. Sites built for anime art usually give a small free allowance every day and offer community models such as the Malfoid LoRA. Expect queues, ads or watermarks on the free tier, and check each model's licence.
- Your own computer. Free per image once it is set up, and the most flexible, but it needs a recent graphics card, a few hours of setup and some trial and error.
- This site. One free image, no watermark, consistent characters across images and video on the same page, and prices listed per image and per clip. Not free beyond the first image.
FAQ
Is Malfoid Video completely free?
No. One image is free for each new account. After that you buy credits in packs; there is no subscription.
Can I use it without signing up?
You can read every page and copy every prompt without an account, but generating images or videos needs a free account.
Do free images have a watermark?
No. Free and paid images download without a watermark.
What's the cheapest way to make a Malfoid video?
Make one image with the free credits, then buy the Starter pack. A 10-second 720p clip with Seedance 2.0 Mini costs 15 credits.
Can I get more free credits?
Not at the moment. The gift is one image per new account, and accounts created from the same network do not receive a second gift.
